Meet the Staff at Brown & Pratt
Gil Smith, II has been with Brown & Pratt for over 40 years! Since his hiring in May of 1981 as a second-generation employee, he has gained immeasurable experience in the packaging industry. He services over 400 customers ranging from laundry and dry cleaners to hospitals and retail chains. Gil ensures customer satisfaction in every order and is available now to serve you! In his spare time, Gil enjoys boating and the lake as well as coaching youth travel soccer. He has also been a member of Toastmasters International for 40 years helping himself and his peers develop and perfect their public speaking skills. Both of Gil’s children (Brandon & Brittany) are now employed at Brown & Pratt and will be carrying on the family tradition.
Greg Greene has been with Brown & Pratt for over 20 years. He was hired with us in December of 2000 and has helped Brown & Pratt reach new heights with his charisma and sales experience in multiple industries. Greg offers experience in all packaging product lines and services industries such as goods, warehousing, medical, agricultural, and much more. He has a vast knowledge that helps his customers to have the perfect packaging portfolio for their specific applications and needs. In his free time, Greg enjoys time with his family, camping, and traveling. He is excited to devise the perfect packaging solution for you!

Favorite Part working for B&P: Every day is different! We are blessed to be able to work with a very wide array of different clients and backgrounds. Each of these customers requires a different product offering, therefore allowing us to work with different products each day!
Favorite Product B&P Offers: I love them all! But enjoy working on custom printed bag and box projects. Seeing the final product after working on a project from start to finish is very cool. It’s great to see a customers packaging dream become a reality!
Mike comes to Brown & Pratt with over 30 years of experience in material handling, deliveries, and logistics! Since his hiring in May of 2011, he has been the driving force behind our delivery efficiencies. Through an organized delivery schedule, he ensures timely delivery of each of your orders, keeping you our valued customer with a constant and efficient inventory. In his free time, Mike is an avid sports fan who follows nearly every sport imaginable and has referred for over 20 years. He also thoroughly enjoys his time with his kids and grandkids!
Brittany is a 3rd generation employee along with Brandon, proceeded by her Grandfather – Gil Smith, & Father – Gil Smith, II. Her double major & business minor from Indiana University is a tremendous asset to the Brown & Pratt staff. Brittany began working full time as B&P’s office manager in 2013 and has since transitioned into being a sales representative. When not working you can find Brittany at the gym, coaching travel soccer, or playing soccer herself! In the coming year, she is excited to continue working alongside amazing family & friends, and grow her sales relationships & experience!

November 7, 2014 was a historic day for Brown & Pratt! Kyle brings over 25 years of warehousing experience to the Brown & Pratt team and in the last 7 years has helped streamline our processes in our warehouse. His customer service skills and maintenance knowledge helps us remain efficient through inventory changes and continued growth. In his free time, Kyle enjoys spending time with his family, auto racing, and working on his trucks. Kyle is here to make your experience with Brown & Pratt quick, easy, and seamless!

During college, I worked for Uncle Bill’s Pet Center as a Lead Cashier.

Hobbies: Two of my hobbies are weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom and knitting.
One of her favorite aspects of working at Brown and Pratt is the comradery and support among us staff members. She enjoys that we can bring any item we offer to our location for a local pick-up. She also enjoys getting to meet new people and knowing that you are helping them and their business with shipping costs.
Cooper is a 4th generation employee, a graduate of level 1 puppy classes, & has completed some higher education. His main role here at Brown & Pratt, since Nov. 10th, 2014, is the protection of the company & his co-workers. This has come along with years of door greetings, shedding all over everyone he meets, & a constant demand of snacks & lovin’! His customer service skills and ability to make others smile is constant. Coop is a staple here at Brown & Pratt – one we hope to be able to share with you all for years to come!
Jake Vandivier is a second generation employee with Brown & Pratt! After serving 2 deployments and 5 years of active duty with the US Navy, he is currently working on his Business Administration degree at UIndy. Jake is our logistics coordinator specializing in freight shipments and warehouse operations. We are excited by the knowledge and experience he brings to the B&P Team!
