Recycled paperboard is multiple substrates from six to nine plies. The small amount of virgin fibers is added to increase the strength during the recycling process.

Recycled paperboards have lower stiffness per unit weight and interior printing surfaces compare to virgin substrates and have good cost advantages, which make them become more and more economical alternative paperboard in folding carton and packaging industry.
